Winterborne Farringdon Parish Council

Winterborne Farringdon is the Local Council for the five West Dorset parishes of Bincombe, Whitcombe, Winterborne Came, Winterborne Herringston and Winterborne Monkton, and are situated in the countryside between Dorset’s county town of Dorchester (pop. approx. 15,000) to the north and the the Weymouth & Portland conurbation (pop. approx 70,000) to the south. Winterborne Farringdon’s area is mainly open countryside; the rural population is concentrated around the hamlets which the five parishes are named after. Winterborne Farringdon also covers an area of Broadwey and Littlemoor on the Weymouth & Portland boundary, from where it takes the majority of its population.
